Full description:

·Ensure optimum industry knowledge and understanding of the UKCS market including demand, supply, trends and any relevant changes to ensure consistent competitive advantage is achieved

·Champion use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and review to ensure that most value is being delivered from the system

·Ensure tracking of all leads, opportunities and projects is maintained in CRM system from identification to award

·Provide update of client activity at weekly business development team meeting

·Provide reporting on leads and opportunities as required.

·Drive regular client contact and issue of contact reports following all meetings

·Assist in the ongoing management of competitor information ensuring BOUK’s market intelligence is up to date

·Champion 6 week look ahead meeting to keep team informed of upcoming tenders, client drivers and discuss opportunities to ensure BOUK is prepared for arrival of Invitation to Tender (ITT)

·Complete prequalification documentation to ensure BOUK is well positioned for inclusion on bid list

·Prepare Tender Distribution Summaries (TDS) and arrange Bid/No bid meetings where appropriate

·Attend and contribute to tender strategy meetings when required, to support Tendering with market intelligence, competitor information and client drivers

·Provide supporting information to tendering team including executive summaries, experience, client feedback and track record

·Ensure all business development literature is up to date including project profiles, FPAL profile and presentations for use in prequalification’s, tender submissions and client contact

·Coordinate internal FPAL: pre-meets and Report 3’s where applicable

·Assist Subsea Business Manager (SBM) with external FPAL meetings as required

·Attend networking events and exhibitions to raise BOUK profile and develop/extend contacts

·Manage allocated client entertaining opportunities

·Travel as appropriate to support client engagement / meetings (typically Europe)

·Work together with other areas of the business on cross selling opportunities and updates on client activity

·Assist SBM to ensure accurate upkeep of monthly forecasting of UKCS addressable market

·Deputise for SBM when requested and as experience allows

·Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these


·Excellent PC & keyboard skills

·Experience gained in a similar role encompassing a high degree of client focus built up over a number of years

·Experience in developing business and relationships with clients and business partners

·Excellent communication and organisational skills

·Ability to work using own initiative and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

·Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external)

·Adaptability and problem solving capability

·Excellent presentation skills

·Highly articulate with the ability to deal with dynamic situations


Business (or similar) degree or relevant industry experience
