Marine Autonomy Current Reality and Future Aspirations. The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) has been at the forefront of Marine Autonomous Platform Development for over 20 years.  This has enabled key advances in our scientific understanding of the ocean, and these innovative developments are now increasingly being transferred to companies developing solutions for commercial offshore operations, where the cost and safety advantages of robotics are starting to gain real traction.  Developments here at the NOC are increasingly being enabled by our Marine Robotics Innovation Centre, which has attracted 25 members engaging in over £10m of collaborative R&D since opening in November 2015.  This event will highlight some of the outputs of projects at the NOC, as well as those from the wider community, highlighting what is possible now, and what will be achievable in years to come.

This is an all-day event. Catering is included.
