Oceaneering International Inc said Oct 28 that a unit of BP Plc agreed to a two-year extension through January 2019 for work offshore Angola through a field support vessel services contract.

The Ocean Intervention III will remain chartered for work on blocks 18 and 31 through April 2017, with five option periods for further extension of one-month each.  Additional vessels and services would be provided during the remaining period of the contract on an as-needed basis.

M. Kevin McEvoy, CEO, said Oceaneering will also provide a range of vessel-related subsea services including ROVs, tooling, asset integrity and diving services. The company has a long-term commitment in Angola, he said.
