Ocean Installer has recently completed a mooring recovery and re-installation project for a Gulf of Mexico production facility.

The work was conducted in ultra-deep water (>2500 meters) and represents Ocean Installerís first mooring job at such water depths, the company informed.

Ocean Installerís operating center in Houston executed the project which covered management, detail engineering, planning, mobilization, material handling, transportation, recovery and re-installation operations to replace the mooring lines.

The companyís construction support vessel Normand Clipper was utilized for the offshore campaign, which took place during the second quarter of 2016.

"With this project we continue to build our position as a provider of mooring services, reinforcing and complementing our service offerings beyond our strong SURF competency,Ē said Mike Newbury, president of Ocean Installer in the US.
