GAC has expanded its Danish operation with the opening of a new office in the countryís largest port, Esbjerg.
The port is already well established as a hub for oil & gas operations, thanks to its strong connections with other European industry centres and direct links from its airport to Aberdeen and Stavanger, both home to thriving GAC operations. Further, its facilities are currently being expanded to meet the needs of the growing renewable energy sector and container shipping lines.
From the new base, GAC Denmark provides world-class shipping, logistics and marine support to its general shipping, offshore oil & gas and renewable energy customers. Shipping Manager Frederik Christiansen says the decision to open the new office reflects the Groupís strategy to grow its oil & gas and renewable energy business in Europe.
"Around the world, energy sector clients benefit from GAC's unique combination of shipping, logistics and related services Ė and now that unique service offering has come to Esbjerg," he adds. "From our new location at the heart of the port, we are conveniently close to many of our existing clients and business partners, and we look forward to further tailoring our portfolio of integrated services to the specific needs of our local and international clients operating out of Esbjerg. Locally, we provide quality ship agency, husbandry, offshore crew changes, bunker fuel supply, warehousing and upstream oil & gas logistics support, whilst GACís hub agency service assures global clients of the same high standards of service, whether in Esbjerg or anywhere else."
