UK Export Finance announces new product to support UK exporters

18 December 2020

On December 7th 2020, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Minister for Exports Graham Stuart announced that UKEF has launched a new General Export Facility. This is a new flexible export guarantee scheme that can be used by UK firms to help cover costs linked to exporting and enable them to scale-up their business operations.

Over the last 5-years, UK Export Finance has delivered over £18.5 billion in support of UK exports and international trade. And now, with increased capacity to help businesses facing disruption due to coronavirus (COVID-19), we’re ready to help even more UK companies take on overseas business, enter new markets and manage payment risks.

Helping your members get paid

We can also provide insurance for up to 95% of the value of an export order. And we can connect UK suppliers to overseas opportunities through our supplier fair programme. These are some of the ways we can help business export with confidence.

We recently launched our brand-new Exporters’ Edge campaign. We’re pleased to provide some assets that we hope you can share with your members on social media, in emails, newsletters and on your website.

We can also co-create content with you or organise events where we can speak to your members about trade finance and credit insurance to help them understand their options and find solutions – whether from UKEF or the private market.
