Achilles JQS System to be Replaced by EPIM JQS for all Norwegian Continental Shelf Operators from January 1st 2019

« Back to News Feed

25 October 2018

From January 1st 2019, suppliers to the Norwegian Continental Shelf will need to use the EPIM Joint Qualification System (JQS) used by Operators, as Achilles JQS will no longer be used.

From October 1st 2018, EPIM JQS will provide a new service for purchasers and suppliers who trade products and services on the NCS.

Achilles will continue to provide a service in Norway, however companies should be aware that EPIM JQS will be the system used by NCS operators. Operators are currently alerting suppliers to the switch over to the new system by alerting suppliers already listed in their databases, notifications on websites etc.

Operators switching to EPIM JQS include:

Aker BP ASA, AS Norske Shell, Capricorn Norge AS, ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS, DEA Norge AS, Edison Norge AS, Eni Norge AS, Equinor Energy ASA, Faroe Petroleum Norge AS, Gassco AS, INEOS E&P Norge AS, Lundin Norway AS, Maersk Oil Norway AS, MOL Norge AS, Neptune Energy Norge AS, OKEA AS, OMV (Norge) AS, Petrolia NOCO AS, PGNiG Upstream Int. AS, Point Resources AS, Repsol Norge AS, Spirit Energy Norge AS, Suncor Energy Norge AS, Total E&P Norge AS, VNG Norge AS, Wellesley Petroleum AS, and Wintershall Norge AS.

Suppliers registered on Achilles will not have their registration and data transferred to the EPIM JQS. A separate and new registration is required.

It is therefore imperative that UK supply chain companies are made aware of this change and that they are encouraged to register on EPIM JQS as soon as possible. Note the 1st of January 2018 date for EPIM JQS implementation in Norway.

Note: Representatives of EPIM will be exhibiting at Oil and Gas UKs share fair in Aberdeen on 31st October.
