SUT are delighted to announce their Offshore Site Investigation & Geotechnics 8th International Conference "Smarter Solutions for Future Offshore Developments".

Taking place 12-14th September 2017 (pre conference registration 11th September)

A pre-conference registration and drinks evening will be held at RGS from 6pm until 9pm on Monday 11th September. This will be a terrific opportunity to start networking ahead of the three-day course.

As you will see from the programme, Tuesday 12th September is a fantastic first day, covering topics such as Geohazards & Geophysics, Geotechnical Site Investigation & Design, Anchors, Caissons & Offshore Wind, Advanced Soil Characterization and Suction Installed Foundations. The day will draw to a close following the 4th Bramlette McClelland Lecture - Understanding the Full Potential of an Integrated Geoscience Study - presented by Alan Young.

The intensive programme continues of day 2 of the conference, Wednesday 13th September, covering Pile Design and Installation, Subsea Shallow Foundations, Site Investigation, Site Characterization & Foundation Performance, Pipelines and EAGE sessions offering oral presentations of the full papers which have been published in the August Issue of 'Near Surface Geophysics' for which each delegate will have received a complimentary copy.

Wednesday also features the Student Poster Competition. In the evening you will be dining beneath the new 25-metre blue whale skeleton suspended above you in Hintze Hall at London's famous Natural History Museum. SUT are delighted James McCallum will be addressing delegates at the dinner.

The final day of the conference, Thursday 14th September, is not to be missed. There will be presentations on Mooring Systems, Wind Turbine Foundations, Wind Turbine Foundations, Geotechnical Design Studies and a selection of Case Studies. SUT will be drawing this year's Offshore Site Investigations & Geotechnics Committee 8th International Conference to a close with an address from Richard Jardine.
