Opportunities in Atlantic Canada

Opportunities in Atlantic Canada

24 August 2017
Venue: Aberdeen Town House, Broad Street, Aberdeen, AB10

Attend this lunchtime seminar and hear about the opportunities for Scottish companies in Halifax and Atlantic Canada.

Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, is the economic centre and energy hub for Canada’s east coast. There are various ongoing and future offshore oil and gas projects and Shell and BP alone are investing $2 billion in oil and gas exploration projects offshore Nova Scotia. Halifax’s energy sector is also filled with renewable resource opportunities in wind, hydroelectricity and tidal development.

This event will provide more information on the market and give information on the trade mission to Halifax in October. This event will coincide with The Core Energy Conference and the World Energy Cities Partnership (WECP) AGM.

Speakers will include:

Allan Conry - International Senior Executive (Oil and Gas) at Scottish Development International

Matt Lockley - Business and Skills Manager at Aberdeen City Council
