Greg Watkins and Chris Wren, the Executive Directors of the British Chambers of Commerce in Thailand and Indonesia respectively, are in Leeds to promote the wealth of opportunities available in these markets. They are hosting a day of 1-2-1 meetings suitable for experienced exporters and newcomers alike.

Thailand has transformed its economy into one of the most diverse in the region. GDP growth of 3-3.5% is expected this year. As the country navigates its transition to a high-value economy, there are opportunities for British businesses in practically every sector.

Indonesia is the largest economy in South East Asia (SEA) with impressive economic growth. Indonesia is the world’s fourth most populous nation, the world’s 10th largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity, and the ONLY permanent SEA country of the G-20. The consuming middle class is estimated to number around 80 million in 5 years, 60% of whom will be under 32 years old.
