Subsea Springboard: Focus on Reducing Operational Costs

Subsea Springboard: Focus on Reducing Operational Costs

17 November 2016
Venue: Subsea UK Office, 30 Abercrombie Court, Westhill, AB32 6FE

This event has concluded. Presentations are available below.

The theme selected by our panel for the second of the regular Subsea Springboard sessions was Reducing Operational Cost. A number of selected vendor/suppliers were allocated a 7 minute slot to provide an ‘elevator pitch’ to a panel of Operators and Tier 1 Contractors.  The focus of the pitch was technical in nature, making the audience panel aware of technology, processes and procedures which have the potential to improve business outcomes.

The event was run as a Subsea UK members’ service, so there was no charge for anyone to attend.

The themes were reducing operational costs, improving efficiency and increasing production.

What People Have Said About Subsea Springboard

"I thought the last Springboard was a great event and one that added value for me personally and for the business I represent. I have had several follow-up enquiries that came directly from the networking opportunity and we are actively progressing these with the ultimate aim of deploying new technologies to drive down cost and improve production efficiency.  I am looking forward to future events and expect them to be of similar quality.”
Cameron Mitchell, Technical Disciplines and Assurance Manager
Shell UK

"As a speaker, I was allocated 7 minutes to present the Subsea Power Hub that EC-OG is developing. The swift nature of the presentations allowed for key messages from a number of speakers to come across clearly and quickly.

The invite-only event was a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with key decision makers from operators who understood the value of the technologies that were presented to them. It was also an opportunity to network with other innovative people who were producing further useful technologies which provided the opportunity to explore potential collaboration opportunities."
Richard Knox, Managing Director
EC-OG

"A great concept, and the fixed seven-minute slots for the presenters worked well to keep the programme flowing. I really enjoyed the event with some good business concepts proposed, and look forward to future events with different themes and subject matter being presented.”
Steve Duthie, Industry Liaison Director
