Funding for Subsea Long Tie Backs Technology - What, When and How
Subsea long tiebacks are set to become a major factor in the development of new oil and gas reserves in the 21st century. Many companies are pushing forward the technology of subsea long tiebacks to produce more oil and gas at lower cost, over longer distances and in deeper waters.
Nevertheless, issues still exist in areas such as subsea infrastructure, cost, deployment, power distribution, flow assurance, processing, etc. All of which allow us to reach our ultimate goal: “subsea-to-beach”.
As the industry develops the sharing of knowledge and collective experience identifies technological challenges that require quality, safe and economic solutions to ensure success in moving forward.
The industry recently came together at an ITF Theme Day on the subject of ‘Subsea Long Tie-Backs' to identify the challenges it is facing with a view to seeking proposals from the industry. Today's meeting is to provide feedback on the output of the Theme Day and for ITF to explain how you can engage with the process and submit proposals for support in developing technologies in this area.
Up to 100% funding is available for technology projects that meet the specific needs of ITF members.
